The Salt and Pepper Craze

One of our latest favorites in the jewelry world are salt and pepper diamonds. These stones are edgy and fashion forward making them our favorite to use with our in house line, Moll Doll Designs.

What is a salt and pepper diamond? These stones are diamonds with black and white inclusions. The inclusions can be all different shapes and sizes making each stone unique and one of a kind. For the most part, inclusions are blemishes like white spots, black carbon spots, feathers, cracks, clouds or chips. These diamonds are not graded like a traditional diamond, they are considered rough cut and raw. This unique stone makes quite the statement and has been taking over the fashion and jewelry world!

Pictured above is a variety of salt and pepper diamond designs we make in house. You can see how much they vary in color, texture, and overall appearance. Even on a tiny scale of 1mm, they have so much character! They are stormy in color, but look fabulous set in any gold tone. They have quickly become a client favorite.
